2008 Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader Wins the Nomination for the Peace and Freedom Delegate Convention in California, August 2nd, 2008.

After a hard-fought campaign, Ralph Nader captures the Party Nomination for the Peace and Freedom Party in California, securing his candidacy a place on the ballot there.

Thus, 10's of millions more Citizens will have a non-Corporate choice to to vote for in this crucial national election.

Going head to head with Rep. Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader won over the Party Delegates with his platform of Government reforms including:

The immediate, organized withdrawal of US Troops, mercenaries and contractors from Iraq and Afghanistan, stemming the flow of trillions of dollars from the public coffers into the pockets of corporate profiteers;

Adapting a Medicare-style, not-for-profit, single-payer national health care system for all Americans;

Repealing of the Union-busting Taft-Harley Act, strengthening the ability of average workers to join in collective bargaining and increasing pay scales and worker protections;

Raising the minimum wage to $10 per hour;

Forcing the corporations out of Washington, repealing their legal basis for "Corporate Personhood";

Making Corporations subservient to The People rather than vice versa;

Trying the Bush/Cheney administration in a court of Law for war crimes, and much much more.

  • Nader gets my vote again. Only real solution on the table for candidates. He is a real american hero. He has the experience to at least put things in to place to stop this from becoming an idiocracy..

  • Childish comment.

    Actually, Nader should be recognised in history. Here's the list of all the legislative acomplishments he's achieved as a citizen activist that has done more to improve the lives of Americans than corupt members in Congress:

    Clean Air Act

    Safe Water Dinking act

    Consumer Product Safety Act

    Nuclear Power Safety

    Mine Health and Safety act

    National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act

    Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Act

    Freedom of Information Act

  • if centralized control is the problem then centralized banking must end, Nader is Good but Dr.Paul is better...a new Libertarian party with Ron Paul as president and Ralf Nader as VP... END THE FED and our fiat currencies.

  • go Nader!

  • Nader wins the nomination for the Peace & Freedom Party? Who was he going against? I am a huge fan of Nader,but I would not want him as president. I prefer him as a corporate advocate looking out for you and I.

  • Lobbyists did not start out as a corrupt, corporate-controlled industry. Corporations have bought out so much of the U.S. law that lobbies are now MOSTLY under corporate control. HOWEVER, lobbies started out with the purpose of representing the interests of organizations that represent the people, and persons like Ralph Nader still lobby in that way.

  • Ralph walking in, laying it down, then strolling on out the joint...

    Ralph Nader is the man.

    Nuff said.

  • US is a republic in terms of the laws passed. But is suppossed to be a democracy in terms of who is elected.

  • What is supposed to be a democracy? I hope you're not speaking about America. If you are, you are vastly mistaken. This great country was created as a Republic. Even though it is being transformed into a police state, we still live in a Republic. I hope I misunderstood the context of that sentence.

  • if nader becomes president there will be coup against him by the military.
