Finally I was able to find a source or water. It was only a small stream but it was close to my shelter and running water so I figured it was good enough to drink. Definitely one of the main highlights up to this point...

that water looked pretty still and could have had bacteria in it, always boil your water before drinking,  as long as you learn thats whats important so keep doing yr thing

Hmmm, The stream there has clear water, where as we have reddish brown water because of red clay...Eh, sometimes you see clear, sometimes you see a flat out red/brown color.

You might want to try filtering your water by bringing a cup and a bowl with you, and some saran wrap. Partially fill the bowl, put the cup inside, and cover it with the saran wrap (make sure the cup is below the saran wrap, and not pushed up against it). Weigh the center of the saran wrap, above the cup, down with a rock or some other small item that won't pull the wrap off the edges of the bowl. The water will evaporate from the bowl, condense on the saran wrap, roll down, and drip in the cup.

@TheRealCP13 I saw on survivor man that you can use materials such as cloth, or than backpack that he has to contain water in it, then boil it or atleast make it over 70C.
