40 Acres Off Grid - 6 The Pond Is Full !

We built a pretty nice pond! Spring fed with a cleared are below the dam for a garden. Trust me, ponds require a LOT of dirt moving! Tried to blend it in with the natural flow of the surroundings, hopefully as it grows up a bit around there it won't look so man-made. Several days on the D4, with a constant audience of curious deer checking the progress seems to have bore precious fruit!
This little piece of earthly heaven just gets better all the time.

Are you able to swim in the pond or is it merely for show?

Nice job. We have 40 acres and a small cabin as well and are

hoping to build a nice pond to swim in as well. I worry about leeches though.

Definately for swimming, as well as water storage for the garden.

Leeches? Yuk! Thank God we don't have them here!
