@JoeDaPlumber Slavery was only a small part of it. The simple fact remains that the federal government shouldn't have so much power. Certain rights belong to the state, and local governments. The Civil War was about the federal government staying out of our shit. When the United States was founded, states had sovereignty. Then the Civil War came and fucked all that up. So yes, slavery played a part in it, but that isn't what it was ABOUT.
