He's using a snare pad, you couldn't hear it that well even if the music wasn't playing.

Wow. OK History lesson time!
Nine Inch Nails came out with "Head Like a Hole" in 1989. It has been being badass for 19years now.
And people think that it is AFI's original idea.

congratulations you can juggle snare sticks and know how to throw different variations of the same thing in there over and over again. now get it good enough to use in a show and actually incorporate it into the music, then if you want to really be good do it on tenors while playing constant scrapes, ratimiques, flamadiddles, and other various rudiments.

You seem to have really mastered juggling the sticks. Can you explain how to bounce the stick on the floor and make it come back to you. I have tried to do that, but it bounces back at weird angles. Also is it because you have become so comfortable juggling the sticks that you are now able to do it blindfolded?

Well, bouncing the stick on the floor is actually really easy, just make sure that when you throw it down, you just release the stick with your fingertips. If the stick lands perfectly parallel to the ground, it will bounce right up, if there is even a slight angle when it hits the stick will barely bounce and most likely start spinning.
