Godmode: On, formerly Let's Play, is a video game commentary show based off of a series format explored by 1UP.com's Jason Bertrand and Cesar Quintero. Godmode: On, hosted by the comedy trio of the same name, is a combination of a "tribute band" and a "cover band" to the popular (and out of production) 1UP series Broken Pixels, hosted by Seanbaby, Crispin Boyer, and Shane Bettenhausen. We chose to play Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch: Make My Video as part of that "tribute/cover" feel. Rest assured though, the rest of the titles we have planned out are not cross-overs from that show. We aim to be a similar show with a different library of games to play.
The show's production status is currently up in the air, the footage for this episode was shot November 2008 (before Jake from the opening credits joined the cast). Unfortunately early on we were met with some rather poor reception from our promotional materials. We feel that some members of our target audience misunderstood the point of the show since we were unintentionally vague with it in the first place. We are NOT here to try and rip-off a show, we are here to keep the spirit of the Broken Pixels series alive by making our own "fanon" entries to the library of episodes. Yes, we know that none of us are incredibly well-known or write for any major gaming publications; we didn't let that stop us from pooling our resources and putting together a series that hopefully fans of the late Broken Pixels can enjoy.
This episode was shot November 2008, our other two episodes were shot in January and March of 2009. Being our first shot at this, we were both a little camera-shy and new to this commentary thing; so, we know that we are a little fidgety and stumble over a few lines. We improved for our other two episodes (and got a third host), one of which you can see an 8 minute preview of in our account (Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero).
The Broken Pixel guys never took suggestions (or at least mine) for what they should play next.
Mind if I suggest Knight Rider, the Game?

Cant say I've heard of that game, but I'll look into it and see if it's for a system that we're capable of using. :)
We're listening to the viewers always, because while we have our own games as well as suggestions from the place sponsoring us it's nice to hear of some games we haven't already experienced.

I think you should change the mix some, I sometimes can't hear the audio from the game over your laughing. So I'm listening to some your jokes out of context.

For the first 3 episodes we have a few mixing issues, the camera not picking up certain things or the game audio spiking. We're looking into fixing that. :) Keep in mind though in some places the commentary audio is muted even though it looks like we're talking. :P The muted parts are just incomplete jokes, or references to jokes that didn't make the final cut.
