I'm glad he had fun at ATP, but now he's making what at Colgan?? like 20k a yr? Not only is colgan cheap, but it's also not safe because the pilots aren't experienced.. to put it bluntly, he was better off joining the military

Just found out I made captain, took 2 years and 10 months but its here. ATP is the reason Im here. I highly suggest it. Take Care

ATP lost their right to teach ground instruction due to substandard teaching practices. they also have been sued a LOT by students, especially foreign students. My family and I are considering filing a class action law suit with a few other students because they never came close to living up to their promises.

@avi8torace in the past 2 years, ATP has had a BUNCH of law suits from foreign students claiming they were lied to (because they were). so, ATP was forced to shut down their foreign program. then, last january, they lost their right to teach ground school by the FAA because they only pass 19% of the checkrides (well under the mandatory for flight schools). ATP is INSANELY expensive for what it gives you.

@FlyWisconsin Ouch... Back in 2000 I was able to get all the way through MEI for 30,000. Then 9-11 happened, and two years later, the flight school went bankrupt.

BTW, i wouldn't take these positive comments about ATP too seriously. before they let you become a CFI, you HAVE to write a positive review and they post it online. also, their marketing group goes around the internet and writes these "positive" reviews saying its awesome.

@avi8torace ATP is about 105,000 right now to go from zero time to CFI. you can do your local FBO for half the price.

@blafat there are NO requirements to get into ATP. its a complete joke. but, if you go there, good luck getting hired anywhere but American Eagle, their parent company.

I BEG YOU, DO NOT GO TO ATP FLIGHT SCHOOL. THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF AND YOU'LL NEVER GET HIRED WITH A MAJOR AIRLINE IF YOU GO THERE. WORKING THERE AS AN INSTRUCTOR SUCKS.

do you have to take a drug test to get in this school it says you have to take a physical
