Video of me fighting, catching, and weighing the fish I caught at Murchison Falls. Gives you more of an appreciation of what it's really like to catch these giant fish in none other than the start of the Nile River. We weighed the fish twice, the first time he thought it was 95 then he realized he was reading the top of the line on the scale so after re-weighing, we realized it was bottoming it out over 100 pounds. It was around 5 1/2 feet long, the guy holding up the fish had it only an inch or 2 off the ground and it goes to his face (he's 6 feet tall). Trip was a blast, we had crocodiles all around us, we caught around 6 Nile Perch in all, most around 40lbs, and had a bait fish get bit cleanly in half, like a knife was taken to it (possibly tigerfish). Any questions just post on here and I will reply, good luck ;-)

  • Out of interest- did you guys keep the fish u caught or released them? Nice fish btw!

  • @Piterszczyk released it, that's in another video we took after taking pictures, took a while to revive her but she definitely swam off, good times

  • I'm due to go, what time of year was it? did you use a guide service? where did you stay? did you use lures or livebait? what end gear did you use? float/freelined bait? how long were you there? so many questions! Cracking fish, well done!

  • it was december, we had a guide, we were right at the bottom of the falls, it's a big rock jetty that is actually well known for being "the spot". i used a river fish that was about a foot long to catch this monster. just had a little bit of weight with the fish, hooked through the back, casted right into the current and just waitied, at first you will get tugging from the current but trust me you'll know when a big one is on!

  • good fish but where are the 4 crocs you say were there and thats partly to do with ya swearing???i mean if there were 4 crocs below you there is no way anyone would be holding it in the water while waiting for help to lift it the crocs would have been on that fish as soon as you had it surfaced ....still good fish

  • crocs were surfacing all over the area, guess they just weren't hungry, they didn't really mess with us. the other spot we were fishing at was about 5 feet into the water off the bank, and they could have snuck up on us at anytime, prolly wasn't a good idea considering where they sunned was about 100 feet away.
