  • Sony makes some great commericals. I think this one captures perfectly the feeling of reading a good book. And the enjoyment on reading it easily on the Reader.

  • @ThePhatIndian This video only shows italics through the dictionary, but other videos of it also show the standard Sony simulated italics. I have a PRS-505 and it does not display true italics unless they are embedded, like in a PDF. Otherwise, like the bolds, they are simulated in a most unpleasant fashion, even though virtually all modern text fonts include complete italics and bold variants. It is rather surprising that a company like Sony would go so half-assed in terms of typography.

  • @Tierdaen My old PRS 505 shows italics just fine. What in this video is even making you think that?

  • Wow, 2010 and Sony cannot produce a dedicated text viewer that shows actual italics?

  • e-reader with e-ink is the way!.the ipa* with glare screen is a crime for readers.
