  • You're all morons. Yes he should have signed and no the cop shouldn't have tazed him. Can no-one think on a higher level than "Who blame? Me think man blame... no me think cop blame... both blame?!?....*head explodes"

Was the cops life in danger? Was the alternative to shoot him down? Was the guy getting violent? Was he being physically overpowered? no... no... no....no!....

The tazer is supposed to be to protect safety, not to leverage compliance.

  • @Depotman122

I agree to a point. This was a case of a power hungry law enforcement officer that failed to be couertious and respectful of the drivers rights. At least in my state they tell you that signing the ticket is not an admission or denial of guilt. You do not have to sign the ticket.

As to Ron Paul....your 100% correct

  • I would've said "turn around and put your hands behind your back." And if I see him walking towards the patrol car, I'd say "Sir, hands on the car". And if he doesn't do it, I'd pull out the taser and say "Hands on the car!" And if he still doesn't do it or put his hands behind his back, I'd say "Hands on the car or behind your back or I'll tase you". And if he walks away or doesn't do what I ask, then I'd zap him. And if he continues asking why I'm arresting him, I'd say "we've been over this".

  • As much as I don't like police officers, which is as much as any of you, this guy was wrong. Jared refused to sign the ticket.

    Officer Garnder: Sign the ticket.

Jared: No, I'm not signing shit.

So who was wrong? Well, I probably would've addressed this differently that the patrolman in the clip. I've would've said "Sir, I'm not gonna ask you again. If you do not sign the ticket, I'm going to place you under arrest". And if he still refuses, then I'd tell him "Step out of the vehicle".

  • Hopefully he got fired and this man got some money for it...

  • I'm a law enforcement officer and although the man didn't sign the ticker this officer used excessive force for the purpose of his own entertainment. We are taught to learn behaviors and facial expressions etc. and in this case I'm sorry but this officer was indeed out of line. I'm sure the union and department protected him left and right but they probably shouldn't of. He did everything by the book until he refused to read him his rights. That right their in court would not hold up.

  • Sign the ticket and you drive home PERIID

  • Information Pollution? That's a ironic name seeing as how you pollute the subject. Okay im gonna spell this out for you. 1 The man IS being arrested, not for speeding, but for refusing to sign the ticket. You see by signing the ticket your agreeing to appear in court, refusal one is placed under arrest to insure that one's ass is in court! So yes the man IS being arrested! (2) being tasered is for resisting arrest which is what the man did! That's what happens when actions 1 and 2 are made!

  • @32rumandcoke The man wasn't being arrested. The cop wasn't in danger. The question is: should a man who refuses to comply with a speeding ticket be shot with an electric dart? Clearly you think so.

  • The cop is right here...all you females saying that cops are just high school bullies with badges don't have the guts to put your lives in danger like these folks do. You go straight to jail when you don't sign a ticket period! You get tased when you resist arrest period!

  • She should have put the car in reverse and ran that douchebag pig over when he was behind the car. Most cops are nothing more than former highschool bullies/football douches who needed to find a career that pays you to be a bully.
