  • i'm in exactly the same position as Hgclaw, I have a mark I 73 and its not just the upper half that click, i would say about 50 - 55 of the keys, ranging from the veru bottom to very top of the keyboard click quite loudly, is there really no other way other trimming them all.

  • Hi, make sure your dampers are seated all the way into the slot which holds them. You will have to remove the damper rail to get in there. If they are not, they may stick out too far. If this is not the case you may need to trim the dampers. Make sure you understand where it is coming from first.

  • C., is it common that roughly half of a 73 (the upper half) keyboard would do this? I have a very well-preserved, little played Suitcase 73 and the entire treble section has this problem -- drives me crazy, but I feel like there must be something else I can do rather than trim all of those damper arms. Any advice?
