Pat Hughes and Ron Santo on 720 WGN calling the final half inning of the Chicago Cub's Carlos Zambrano's No Hitter against the Houston Astros at Miller Park in Milwaukee on September 14, 2008. With some commentary by me and my dad who are both die hard Cubs fans.

  • I,too, prefer radio. This game will be rebroadcast tomorrow (12/5/2010) at 2pm central

  • I prefer radio too, but Ron is awful. I love him as a human being, but he's a bad announcer. Pat is amazing though and more than makes up for Ron.

  • that was fun... and way more dramatic by radio!

  • me to

  • When it comes to passion in commentary, you really can't get any more passionate than Ron Santo, I love listening to him

  • I usually turn the TV on, and have WGN on...

  • Don;t worry ,they won;t be playing Az.They are out in 3 games, and the team that beat the Sox will probably win the WS....bwaaaaa!

  • The reason the game wasn't on WGN nationally was that ESPN has exclusive rights to baseball games on Sunday nights shown on cable TV. WGN could show the game locally on Channel 9, but not on WGN America.
