@ShonoughIdo I agree; it's funny that someone would attribute drop D to "only metal pricks", since people have been using it long before anyone ever thought of "metal" as a genre. Of course you can play wonderful or awful stuff in just about any tuning you can imagine, and since drop D is only changing one string, most of what you play in standard would translate easily. I love that album, btw; the first of many I bought from him in the early-mid 70s.

@colacoca355 ...you're wrong. Listen to his My Goal's Beyond recording of Goodbye Pork Pie hat. The rhythm guitar overdub is in drop D. You're a moron for calling any tuning a wanker's tuning...just because lots of metalheads splurge all over their fretboards in drop d doesn't mean people with integrity can't do good shit with it.
