Well its a shame he didnt manage it himself but I suppose we all have to try or we will never learn. I know Ive had my failures as there is no one to show/learn me and all I have is youtube videos and books and sometimes I dont understand lol but I still love to try myself, if we get it wrong and we know someone that can do it then great. Nice video weazle as ever and I love looking and learning from you. But also 10/10 for the guy trying to fix it himself.

thanks for the response.
i can see the AM swing on the rigs signal meter, s9 dead key then +30 when i whistle,
maybe its my zetagi swr/power meter that isnt showing the audio swing?. strange though as it swings all the way when modulating on ssb. any final advice?

@daveeyboy100 Sounds like you ZETAGI meter does not measure PEP very well, i only ever use meters with a PEP setting - if the RF meter on the radio is showing swing then it should be good.

great vid as usual.
i own a 148gtl dx and a 360fm (approx 5w output am + fm and 10w ssb) and neither of them have any am swing. plenty of needle movement on my zetagi 203 when using the sidebands but on am just a constant carrier swing. do i need to mod the radios to get swing on am? cheers

@daveeyboy100 AM = Amplitude Modulation, with AM you should have a carrier and when you modulate with audio you should see the swing - if the radio is working as it should around 5 watts dead key should produce around 10-15 watts of swing with audio or even more depending on how the AMC and ALC are set.
