Moneyball hits theaters on September 23rd, 2011.

Cast: Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman

An adaptation of Michael Lewis' book "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game." It focuses on Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics who used a sophisticated computer analysis system to piece together a team that regularly contended for the World Series despite a payroll dramatically lower than such big-market rivals as the New York Yankees.

  • @tigerwoods232000 because that's exactly what he was

  • Philip Seymour Hoffman literally makes my skin crawl. UGH.

  • Poor Art Howe.

  • Jeremy's gone too

  • @CornhuskerKent In the words of Pete Bland, "he gets on base"

  • @tigerwoods232000 The book makes him look even worse. In it Art had absolutely no decision making power, Billie even told him where and when to sit, what look to have on his face. Pretty much Art was there because Billie didn't want to be the manager on the field as well.... but he kinda was.

  • This movie makes Howe look like a puppet manager who was just in the right place at the right time

  • @keithleon62 If you really liked the movie so much you would have given the actors what is theirs and shown your appreciation by paying to see it.

  • Pena career .239 batting average. That SUCKS!!

If he were GREAT he wouldn't be looking for his 7 th team in 11 years!
