huh, sallom899, what do you mean?
"...for the world of chess it's a big loss."
"...he was probably the greatest of all times."
"...all his ideas still live."
that's what I heard. Did you have the volume on?

fischer went insane? wait, he was arrested for playing a chess game. apparently he was also tortured by the corrupt establishment. im no conspiracy theorist and im not involved in politics, but fischer certainly was not insane.

I think ole Bobby would have had problems no mater what he got into. Chess wasn't a 'cause' but his single mindedness was a symptom.

Yes she is hot, except that she needs to keep her fingers out of her nose when on camera ...;-)

Topalov notices the hot girl behind him and then thinks alright this interview is over time for some ass (if you notice he turns to her right after he is done answering the question)

I don't think anyone else went that crazy, though. I know mental breakdowns are fairly common. Damn, I wish he didn't got off the deep end. So talented.

That's the result of Chess mate, have no idea how deep the game of Chess is until having given everything up. Double edged sword, addictive and demanding on the human subconsciousness.

A great chess player he surely is, but he was a horrible person. Hours after the attacks on the WTC, he said, "This is wonderful news" and went on to applaud the efforts of the islamic extremists in murdering our citizens. It sucks that he went so damned crazy - he had such a beautiful mind.

One could reasonably argue that the two greatest players ever were American: Morphy and Fischer. Chess will miss Bobby Fischer; I learned the game as a child during that fabled '72 World Championship.

Fischer was Wilt Chamberlain to Kasparov's Michael Jordan...or perhaps Mike Tyson to Kasparov's Ali.
