It is a good way to get started wih DCC,the layout mat is a brilliant idea and what I am doing is adding grass flock and scenery using that as a guide,it really starts to come alive,by stapling cardboard panels over the mat and between the rails and then painting and adding grass it works well, then I intend adding ballast to the rails afterwards, for its size the track layout is interesting with plenty of scope to extend as time goes on,a good starter set for those new to DCC.
I'm gonna get this!
