  • this a original sound ?

  • @999berak no, it wasn't. Untill 1927 all movies were silent, someone was distributed with a specific music score (as "Le Ballet Mecanique" that you can see on my Vimeo channel) or with a few suggestions of what to play. Each cinema has its own musicians: they created a live soundtrack during the screening. No soundtrack was recorded on film before 1927.

  • Is this like one of the very first movies ever made or what?

  • @pucksterz12 This movie signs the passage from primitive cinema to classic cinema. It s the first western movie, but its importance is the editing. Earlier movies were shorter, this movie was like a colossal a that time. This was a very complex story to tell, without specific rules for the editing. But Potter made a very easy movie to understand, giving a great contribute for the developpening of a cinematographic grammar.
