What software were you using to edit this together? From your comments, I'm getting the impression that you may have made your project far more complicated than it needed to be. I'd be happy to help if you would email me with some more specific details about what you did.
I also agree with rubyinrochester - I think the music here was a poor choice. I don't mind that you got rid of the V.O., but the tracks you used just seem very random and distracting.

I am wondering what you think was gained and lost by adding music and talking off my voice.

The music is annoying. Can't read the text. I suggest using a decent digital camera and photographic sections in high resolution format. Do not compress it. Forget fancy video stuff for this purpose.

The syllabus was scanned in at high resolution, so the problem is not in the initial image. Since the image has to be uploaded as a video, it has to be compressed, correct? An uncompressed video (even if it is just an image) would be huge. We played around with different compression schemes, but weren't able to find anything that looked particularly good. I agree that the text looks pretty bad - suggestions are appreciated.

Personally, I thought it would be nice to have a syllabus that stood alone without the use of a voice-over. That way, the movie doesn't have to keep playing in order for the syllabus to be understood, and it's much easier to see large parts of the syllabus at the same time. The music was purely for entertainment value.
