@lee3701 couldnt agree more FFXIII-2 is definitely up there with all the great FF games

After being a fan for many years. I still love 7 and wish for a remake ofcourse. But as i have grown to like FF XIII-2 more than XIII i came to the conclusion that i would like to see ANY FF game with this system (Just think if they did they would bring even more editions to it!)

@MrBelial321 Try not to make assumptions and high expectations about Versus XIII. That's a sure-fire way to be disappointed when it comes out.

13 wasnt that good, i dont know how anyone can disagree with that, the game was so linear. the whole time i was playing i was waiting to get like an airship or something to go to different towns, but then i beat the game and i was like really? the game can play itself for you. and the useless grinding to fight the same creature s over again just to get some lame items that you can beat the game without, i loved 7, im not gonna buy 13-2 until i can get it used, im waiting for versus 13, thats ff

@KinevAsaic yeah i wish auto battle wasnt there. but i absolutely enjoyed 13 and 13-2 anyhow

Auto-battle isn't quite necessary in FF13, BUT if you were able to control all three characters, then it would be VERY necessary. 18 button presses per round while an enemies kicking your ass is kind of a pain isn't it?

Thinking about it, the auto-battle in FF13 was based on how much work the player would have to do otherwise.
Example: In FF7, you select one command for each character every round. So that's like 1 for Cloud, 1 for Tifa, 1 for Barret. That's about 3 presses of the X button per round. In FF13, you select up to six commands for your character. So that's 6 presses of the X button per round. And if they'd let us control all 3 characters, that's 18 presses per round!
Hence... auto-battle.

Cool battle system! It might surprise us how similar an FF7 remake's battle system would be to the FF13 system. No longer will we be issuing one command per turn. There'll be strings of commands which means 5 times the amount of button pressing (which is why 13 had auto-battle; tired fingers) and the ATB needs to fill continuously.
I honestly don't know why the older FF fans like me are dissing XIII so much. I absolutely love VII and X is my favorite, but honestly, XIII was a really close second for me. Yes, it had some flaws, but every game does. I'd love to see a VII remake as much as the next fan, but I think people should stop dissing XIII so much. If anything, I always thought XII was a disappointment.

@JPincorporated For me personally I LOVE final fantasy XII - there was SO many things to do and the battle system was FLAWLESS. Also, since it was based on a spinoffseries and took care of every single bit of it and made it its own, you can almost feel the love the producers put inside the game. And that was the only thing XIII lacked - having LOTS of things to do and to have us players FEEL the love put inside the game. And THAT's what they're doing with XIII-2!
