RUSH - Heartbreak Warfare (Josh/Grace/Shannon/Lawson)

Editor's notes:

I've not edited this video for best effect, rather I've cut it the way I wanted it. Usually, I make videos to maximise the visual impact and emphasize the musical beat, but less so here. Please don't hate on it just because it's not BSG :)

About the characters:

Connor:
Married to Grace, Connor is a genuinely attentive and loving husband. However, his steady approach to life has left his path far from Grace's. Connor blames her dangerous occupation for her inability to enjoy a simple and quiet life and so he pressures her to change jobs but this only pushes them further apart.

Grace:
Caught between two worlds; the comfortable, settled world with Connor, and the treacherous and intense domain that surrounds work, Grace is tormented about where her life is headed. Drawn to Josh's energy and intensity, she struggles to keep a grip on the balanced life she has always known. She's about to choose a path that will end up destroying the lives of everyone she cares about.

Josh:
While he can be selfish and impetuous, Josh is fiercely protective of what he values. He has a great capacity for heroism and a hero's luck to match. Known for his violent outbursts, Grace is the only one that can bring out a softer side in him. The two share a close bond and being with her has shown him that he can achieve happiness, though it will come at a high price.

Shannon:
While outwardly confident, Shannon has more than the average amount of emotional baggage and her vulnerability is often exposed in highly charged situations. She has significant financial problems and a history of bad relationships, including a previous fling with Lawson. Shannon's current choices are about to send her life, and that of those around her, into a tailspin.

Lawson:
Always stoic and professional, Lawson doesn't know how to have fun...though on occasion Shannon and Josh can rouse a smile out of him. Lawson is always looking for someone to save and lately he has set his sights on Shannon, much to her frustration. His interest in her is about to set him on a collision course with Josh.

Awesome video. Great choice of scenes and efiting. Actually made me look at certain scenes differently. Felt like the ending was abrupt and didn't cap off such a brilliant composition as well as I hoped. Overall I loved it. Great work. 4/5.

@Evelyn208 Hey E, thanks a lot for the comment. I see where you're coming from on the ending. I liked it because it was a moment where it looked like he'd lost everything. Also at the time I made this vid, there weren't many other scenes of Lawson/Shannon so I couldn't really take it much further. I'm thinking of manking another RUSH vid this year and it will certainly feature the steamy love scene those two had :D

@calebproductions94 RUSH is my favourite show. I have to admit I don't vid it as much as I should given it's my #1 show - not sure why that is exactly. Maybe when s4 starts up I'll vid it some more, but more likely I'll do some Sea Patrol ones first since that show is entering it's last season. Great to hear you're a RUSH fan thou, I always try to convert people to this show, such excellent drama. Who are your fave characters - I'd say mine is Lawson, he is such a grumpy git, it's adorable.

@iloveburnnotice Hiya, thanks for the really nice comment. Unfortunately, I'm not in to Stella or Micheal so I wouldn't be able to find the passion to vid them, though I do have some Rush ensemble videos on my page which feature then.

I prefer Lawson and Shannon by the way. Josh was meant for Grace, no one else should ever compete ;o)
