  • Did you ask the drivers permision to film him? if not you may find that you have broke the law and assaulted him!

And remember I dont make the rules!!!!

  • Does the bus driver ask any of his passengers if its ok to film them while inside the bus? What about the camera thats fitted filming in the direction of on coming traffic - again does the driver every ask other road users?

End of the day the bus driver was been an ass and if somebody is quite willing to driver dangerousily like that they should be reported and sacked!

Its a shame you only post negative comments on every video posting - does not say much about you really

  • Do you think he would have driven in that manner if he was aware of the camera?

If he caused an injury the first thing the police would ask "Is there any cctv of the incident"?

  • That's really awful. Who licences the operator (is it TfL?) as you can often get a better response by complaining via the 'big stick' than to the company itself.

With long vehicles squashing cyclists in the news in London I would have thought you'd be able to get somewhere?

  • To be honest an email was sent to the bus company twice by myslef and to TfL (who also referred it the bus company). First reply was a standard template reply, the next reply was that they would 'look in to the matter' ( I even asked my if they were going to investigate than surely why are they not asking me for further details like the time of day!). The bus company promised that all bus drivers were going to be offered the new DVD training video about driving & cycling.

  • I'm horrified. Did you get the number? Clearly he's identifiable. What a menace.

  • @muuhhthepie

It isn't illegal and it isn't assault either (assault requires physical contact). Do you have anything intelligent to say?

  • @muuhhthepie If you are in a public place you have no expectation of privacy other than say toilets or changing rooms. The only possible way he could have broken the law was if he persistently followed and filmed him, which he didn't. So nothing wrong here.

  • he should eat nails, drink gas, and be shot in the head, then tossed into a oven then eaten by sharks. :D

  • what a jerk.

    be safe mate.

  • The problem is that most organisations won't have the same process for emails or phone calls because they're not "official". For example a purchase order needs to be received in hard copy (fax or mail) to be acted on.

I had quite good results chasing Lothian Buses up here, with two paper letters and one to the Transport Commissioner (licensor). They phoned me a few times and went over CCTV footage.

I bet if you were to send such a video on CD, with a letter they'd jump a bit higher.
