I can't believe it has been 20 years since I went up into Rita's new Crown Village clock tower in Calimesa and saw the impressive animatronic equipment recently installed by Garner Holt. I vaguely recognized the name from local newspaper articles about a young guy building animatronics in San Bernardino. The grand opening of Crown Village a couple days later was magic. This past week, my niece and I were surprised when she spotted "Garner" in the attic of the Haunted Mansion Holiday.
