  • Hey there. A run is a series of notes, not a method. Cheers.

  • That's four words! :) Yep - I was (and guess am, but now more Jimmy Herring and Landau) using the way ej thinks about the neck and rhythmic patterns, just to break out of old habbits.

  • Yeah, Some people do better with transcribing. I don't have the attention span. I'm trying to figure out the principle behind some of what he does instead so I can move around freely.

  • correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a run when you play a continuous lick across the fret board and not up and down it.

  • lol interesting voice, and very nice lesson!

  • Rhoad's was good. Schenker and Roth were and are just as good[if not better] but not as well known.... I have been a Gus G. fan for over 4 years and if Mr Lord God king Boofu Ozzy himself did not choose him for his next project he would be lesser known too..I think if the kids hear them they won't think that the sun used to shine out of Rhoad's arse! I found him boring! I mean Iommi is not as technical but has the best riffs ever!

  • two words eric johnson

  • very within ej's style of playing nice~!

  • Very informative! I could immediately see the EJ influence :)
