There is a rumor that Apple will double the 500,000 square foot $1 Billion Data Center in North Carolina. Though there has been no official announcement, I discovered that site work is being performed and it clearly appears that there may be some truth to the speculation. The recent activity has helped to spur interest in the adjacent 480 acre Stetson Ranch property www.StetsonAcres.com with 3 miles on the S. Fork Catawba River. The future potential for the Stetson Ranch could be a Solar Farm with possible hydro electric potential...

although this is totally sweet what this can do, and i am still a huge apple fan, but it kinda makes me sick to think that Apple is SO selfish, (yes they are giving it for free) but just think of how much their company is going to sky rocket even more after all the pathetic non-apple products perform compared to how idevices can, SO many more people will switch, but this one project costs over $1B, they could of like ended starvation or something huge, but nope, they are SO selfish and greedy,

There is a lot of speculation on what will ultimately be built and housed on this site. I had an opportunity to eat lunch beside 2 Apple employees from the Data Center. After speaking with the 2 gentlemen they told me that they were not allowed to disclose any information regarding Apple's business one block away from where we were eating. Mum was the word... It leads one to believe that it could be much larger than what has been announced - and it already is.
