The linoleum works were over the hill form me Willie, I grew up in Ninewells,right next to the river.
My first car was an Austin A35 GTS 730.
In Ninewells we had a shop, a smiddy,a tram terminus and two garages!
Only one garage remains.

I did notice on the pic that says... Prefabs @ Balgay Road ... should that not be Glamis Road ? looks like that pic was taken from the cemetary on Balgay Hull !!

Hey Bill, its good to see someone who recognises the old Dundee registration plates on the cars. My first car i got as a fresh faced 17 year old was an old Ford Cortina mark1 with the reg LTS 501 J and I still remember it fondly today.
Seen as your from the Menzieshill area Bill, I think you will enjoy the picture taken of The Linoleum Works at 42 seconds. I used to pass this bulding on my way to Charleston during the 70's, it was a right creepy place which lay derelict for many years!
