My Home Theater Set-up 1

I just thought I'd make a quick video to show what my home theater looks like. To some not into the home theater hobby like I am, a 92" screen may seem big, but for a front projection set-up it ...

Thanks for the compliment. My neighbor on the side of the house where my screen is can hear the sub in her house, but says she doesn't mind. I still try to be courteous and don't blast things too late in the night. :)

why does your projector looked washed out?

Because all of the lights are on and the front door is open letting in the sunlight. In normal viewing conditions, the picture is fantastic, not washed out at all.

92"? Holy freakin cow. That thing is huge. Did that thing cost your right arm too, or just your left?

At the time I bought the screen, I had a cheap projector that didn't put out a lot of lumens, so I needed a high gain screen. The Silver Star was kind of expensive. If I were to buy a new screen today, I woudn't need to go too expensive. In fact, since it hangs on the wall, I'd probably just paint a screeen on there. If I had a dedicated room, however, I'd get an accoustically transparent screen and then it'd go back to being expensive. :)

They're called Bass Shakers. You connect them to the subwoofer channel and they vibrate at the frequency being output. They provide a tactile feeling for the sub channel.
