Although Zionism typically represents itself as the solution to anti-Semitism, the truth is less flattering. In fact, hostility toward Jews is indispensable to the cause of Jewish nationalism. If anti-Semitism didn't exist, Zionists would have to invent it.

i disagree with this video, zionism is basically the will of the jewish people to be independet. just like any other nation deserves.

it is true however, that theodor herzel (who is considered to be "the founder of zionism") saw zionism as the solution to antisemitism (or judophobia as he called it).

but herzel was not the first jew to establish a nationalist movement.

i have read texts written by herzel, and i believe the quotes that were shown in this video are out of context.
