  • Am I the only one that's had horrible luck with WD, and BEAUTIFUL luck with Maxtor? Like seriously. WD lasts me under 3 years each time. I have 12 Maxtors that my parents bought as stock for their store, but they closed it, and gave them to me several years ago. I've used every single one, and only 2 of the Max's went out. :O One because of MFACE, and one because a bad processor shorted it out. The rest work beautifully still, after 11 years. :| I freakin love Max.

  • @hylianprincess7 the 'STM' maxtors which are just refurbed seagates ( same parts ). whemn they bought maxtor they inherited their issues with quality (the 7200.11 and 7200.12 lines ) failing because of firmware issues and head crash 500,750,1tb and above. Just as crappy as a 'deathstar' which ended up in a class action lawsuit. Also maxtor bought Quantum, which came out with the D540x, d740x drives (maxtor quantum mix) then the diamondcrash 8 9, and 10 ( quickviews also). no thanks WDC ftw.

  • LoL....

  • i wanna see whats on the monitor... hmmm i know - could have put the monitor in the backround... oh well

  • triple layer btw?

  • You really blew it big so stupid? I do not know if you know but these things later museums give you lots of cash for it and there you walk to ruin

  • @c0rrupts3ct0r555 I guess I just got lucky with my models. See, I repair HDDs and various computer parts. With hard drives, as long as you clear cap them while you work, to avoid dust, it's not impossible to fix them. Bad heads can be backed onto a secondary master. Bad bearings can be iced for half an hour, and prolonged in a cold room to avoid condensation while you retrieve data. It's always worked for me. People have even recommended my repairs. Ergh. Not that I enjoy that.

  • @SluzBag1993 nah... not at like 3600 rpm? not that far.

  • @SluzBag1993 wont happen, platters were secured by screws, when i jammed it it couldnt move. if i would have done something messed up, i would have had everyone move away, im not stupid :/
