Honda, is this what your automatic transmission is supossed to sound like????

Just about had it with this car. im about to replace transmission number 3, in the past 2 and a half years.

this transmission is dying after only 26,000 miles.

torque converter shutter you need to have the fluid changed with the correct fluid or you have a bad torque converter

wow thats impressive. i had it checked out by aamco transmission. its a defective torque converter. or so they tell me, anything i can do to prolong its life? dont exactly have a ton of cash around to fix it just yet

Well im still being trained in drivetrain rebuilding but you cant fix it unless you have some way to put the warn metal back you dont just make sure the fluid is changed every 30000 from now until you can afford a new torque converter.

its a pain under if im cruising on a flat road i have to keep accelerating a little bit to keep it from sounding like its going to fall out of my car. thing i dont understand is it was perfectly fine for 3 weeks then it acts up again

hmm... i dont know what to say, either get it fixed by a proffesional. or maybe its your cat. Converter. well... the only thing taht i could think of is maybe your ground wire on your battery is loose? im probably not helping but my ranger had some of tehse problems and it was a loose ground wire that would shake off when i hit a bump or slight vibration.

thanks for the comment, this isnt my first tranny. its my third in this car. had it diagnosed. the torque converter is the source of my problems

Get a nice service, check exhaust checked incase you went 4wd driving. or check gearbox if blown or need changing fluid.

From what your telling me, its the gearbox. Get honda fluid too.

It's a honda. Ever since 1999, their transmissions have sucked, because they can't use normal automatic transmissions like very other car company.
