Balmung was voiced by one person for Infection and replaced by Crispin Freeman for the next three. When you speak to him, his "How are you fairing?" line is a relic of the original actor. And while some scenes seem like it could just be one guy with slightly different inflection, the majority of the acting sounds vastly different between Infection and Mutation.
Also, a number of scenes earlier in the game, aren't acted as well for most characters, as later scenes. Rachel is likely an example.

Take the items and run, no sweat if you get hunted down!
I feel you Naka, a lot of the stuff you say, though a third of it can be trivial, keeps the vids entertaining, yet you gotta focus on the gameplay.

I forgot Rachel existed LOL

I'll say that for anyone who wants to do live commentary. If you have ADHD (Attention Dephesite Hyperactive Disorder), you will fail because every little pixel on the screen will make you zone out! I know, because I have it! I've tried live commentary on stuff I didn't even have to play and I still lost my train of thought every 3 and a half seconds! However, if you use the Hyperactivity of the disorder, you can make the commentary hilarious, so it's got pros and cons just like normal.

the LPers curse probably hits harder than usual in IMOQ, seeing just how DAMN SADISTIC IMOQ can be.

believe me i know the feeling i dont even talk (i really wish i could) and i still do pretty bad recording

When offscreening, do/did you do commentary even when you knew you were gonna cut it out?

@NakaTeleeli My guess is that it is the same American actress, but the pronunciation of the spells are precise to a point that a different accent won't be as obvious. I think it sounds like the same person though. Of course, the extent of my .hack knowledge comes from this LP and watching Sign, so you're probably more right than I. ;)

what is up with Rachel's accent

And Rachel is stuck doing Delivery work. XD
I tried post commentary... I was more boring then normal. I don't think I played any better either. Bad deal all around.

It certainly has its gives and takes. I prefer live myself, but some people find it easier to concentrate on the game, then write up a script. It's different skillsets. Live requires thinking on your feet. Post requires a really good ability to act.

I agree with you about the concentration deal. Thankfully my recorder has a timer on it, and I'm basicly playing to save stations so I dont' have to worry to much about length.
Unfortunatly, my inability to get a coherent thought out makes up for it. Any tips, if I may ask?

If you'll notice I'm quite bad at getting out coherent thoughts myself. Any number of times I've been interrupted then forgotten I was saying something at all, and can't do things as simple as go through a menu without stopping my thought. If you really want to say something though, and know you'll get sidetracked, I suggest leaving that part of the recording with no commentary, then saying the line in post and editing them together. I've done that on rare occasion.

Thanks, I'll consider that. Also, I haven't noticed any examples of you doing that, and I've never seen you stumble on your words, atlest not as bad as me anyway.

I like to think I'm a half decent actor. I do what I can so that it isn't obviously post. In fact, due to a recording mess up, one of my Katamari Damacy videos was almost entirely post commentary, and nobody's called me on it yet.
