Print advertising such as direct mail pieces, magazine advertising and newspaper advertising are all excellent ways to promote your message. With newspapers, it is wise to stay with circulation of 100,000 to 300,000. If you go to Wall Street Journal or one of the other super major papers, you can get lost in the masses. Advertising in a small paper will not give you enough exposure. Magazine ads may be display adds or classified ads. With direct mail it is critical to have an attractive and/or useful piece which people will choose to keep. The key to direct mail is having the best targeted list.
