Reminds me a wee little bit of the 1983 classic Seafox, a good old C=64 game from Brøderbund Software, Inc.

yeah - if the game was done in the traditional way it'd just have been ported to the spectrum and that code shoehorned into the CPC.
Just shows the CPC can give the 64 a run for its money when people make the effort
