Eastlake Titans vs. Poway Titans 10-2-09

It was the Eastlake Titans who flexed their defensive muscle Friday night, winning the annual match up 34-7. The pride of the South Bay held Poway scoreless until the last minute of the game. The Titans' Tony Jefferson was honored before the game with an invitation to play in the U.S. Army's All Star game in January. Tony had three scores on the night highlighted by a 76 yard sprint to open the 3rd quarter, followed by a 4th quarter run in which he turned two Poway defenders into speed bumps. Next up a bye week before a Mesa League battle at Hilltop on the 16th of October.
