Dragon Quest V 098: Speaking to the Elders

Then we go and talk to the elders. They have stuff to say about Gates to the three worlds, and how they are the guardians of all of the gates and stuff. Martha (my mother) had a great deal of power over this gate keeping magic, and could have broken the barriers between worlds and stuff. That is why she was kidnapped so long ago.
