This is the second dance I choreographed. At times I sort of forget my arms are there and I like to affectionately call them "hanging limp rags!" It sure helps to have a sense of humor.
Arm and hand work has been challenging for me. I am getting far better now about being aware of my arms, keeping them strong and actually knowing what to do with them!

I read your description, including your "limp rags." I wrestled specifically with my hands, but I would recommend being conscious of what your fingers do. If you force energy into your fingers, it has to travel your whole arm and hand to get there, so you end up having stronger arm posture because of thinking of your fingers. :)

that's actually a pretty good tip to focus on fingers/hands to get more energized arms. i just tried it and you are right, it does force energy into our arms without me having to think directly about my arms in particular.
i've made big improvments on arm work and now am still working on coordination. after 3 years of practice, i'm just now getting some moves into my muscle memory. and i am not suffering from information overload as bad as before regarding my motor skills :-)
