What's with all the Esparza haters? He's fantastic! It's clear he's looking at this for the first time and there's nothing wrong. He has the vibrato of an angel :)

This is only the second time i've heard Raul sing and i actually quite like his voice, but if you want to hear this song the way it's supposed to be sung search Anthony Warlow... he's incredible :)

I agree. If you go on wikipedia and just pic a name to try and sound smart just stop. There is always someone else. Raul has repeatedly said he is nothing to his idols. He has probably never even seen this and its great. Put him in the show he will kill it. And if you are saying Company didn't demand an amazing actor and singer you need to reevaluate yourself. At the Tony's he had lost his voice a few days prior and had been battling it doing pre Tony stops. Give the man the applause he deserves

I saw his performance of "Being Alive" on the Tonys, and he acted very aggressively, like he was going to kill somebody.

He doesn't have this in his body, this is merely a run through, a work in progress. I would bet that he has a Billy Bigelow equal with the greatest ever inside him, if he gets the chance. But it isn't there yet, by a long shot.
