We need to take our agonothetai oath during the Opening Ceremonies on Friday 08.08.08! Here's a video of me practicing, It's hard to get the Esperanto pronunciation right!
Multilingual oaths sound very impressive indeed. Maybe some of us could take tape themselvers while taking the oath in groups, where each member of a group uses a different language?
Not bad. Only thing that really stood out were the words with the diacritic letters ĉ ĝ ĵ ŝ and so on. For Ĉ and Ŝ, just add an english h sound, making Ch and Sh. So words like ĉe and ŝi sound like che and Shee. The Ĝ and Ĵ become soft. Ĝe should sound like an english J, and Ĵ should sound like the 'zh' sound in the word 'pleasure'. Ĝis should sound like Jees, and aĵo, should sould like azhoh.
