@dre3k78 It was Henry J. Anslinger, the American Drug Czar that took the case and campaign to the UN. He basically strong armed the entire UN with a campaign of yellow journalism. Get educated, watch the documentary called "Grass: the history of weed"

No, my american friends, it was our fault. starting in the 50s. and the tone of the korean guy is anti-american but if he can help get rid of a law which hurts good people who respect their neighbors, that is a good thing. Although a big smoker myself i am here and not smoking because of how illegal it is. I also doubt any politician would mention the idea, over here they have alot of other issues to deal with first and they have a saying here. the nail that sticks out gets nailed down.

@PiratedComedy OK, apology accepted. Keep smokin`
Yeah he seems to blame the US for "pushing them around" when he himself said it was the UN that passed these laws that effect Korea and Japan today. Although im sure it was heavily US backed. I agree with him about the US being a young and "shallow" about law making. Marijuana has been used by many cultures for thousands of years before the US even existed. Makes the US look "quick to judge" and is often wrong in its law making process.
