@sluv2600 Damn, you're right! It was a multi-instrumentalist genius named Andrew Gold. According to Wikipedia he played guitar, percussion, piano, drums, keyboards, electric piano, tambourine, ukulele, and sang background vocals on the album.
He wrote and sang "Thank You For Being A Friend" and sadly passed away just last year.

Yeah he's a great guitarist. But I don't know if he played on the record and the live version sounds a lot like the record.
