The year was 1993 kiddies and if you didn't want to mix down to tape then here was your alternative.
This was a glimpse into how my studio was setup to record the audio for the video game "Iron Helix".
FYI - The same method was done for the sound effects (which I also did) and is already heard playing off the Mac during the first pass. At the end of this video, I was recording just the music.
Fans of Iron Helix may know of the single I wrote and released under my cyber-industrial band Xorcist which you can watch here: http://youtu.be/zjyy64Od0OQ
You can hear more of my work music here on my channel as well as at xorcist.com
hey thats pretty neat. got any other goodies associated with Iron Helix? :-)

Oh what I'd give for a few hours with that setup...
MIDI controlled music is my favorite.

@PullusPardus This phone wouldn't change colors and used crazy high intensity white bulbs which unfortunately all blew out and were soldered to the phone.
Purchased originally for $100 in 1990 I used to call it my Blade Runner phone as it looked like it would of come straight off the movie set. I couldn't find bulbs for it and unfortunately lost it in a move :(
