@ddariusj88 Floyd had a big fan base but Alvarez has a bigger one, Alvarez is mexican, he showed up to sign autographs and 30,000 mexicans showed up. Mexican truly support fellow mexicans, unlike the rest of us who just bitch about our own fighters and boo as they come in the ring

I like Alvarez and all but the part where the reporter quotes De la Hoya was just ridiculous. When Mayweather was 21 he had a much bigger fan base because of the Olympics and an extensive amateur career. I would definitely like to see Alvarez fight at least a few top fighters in his division since he is a champ. Fighting Kermit Cintron was a joke.
