which model are you referring to as a "sub-compact"? The IS250 is around $32,000 the ES starts around the mid $35K and the GS is in the mid $40K range. I would buy a GS if I were in the market for a midsize this is the same range as an E class or a 5 series bmw and those start in the high $40 to mid $60K.
