As a dramatic end to this years British Chess Championships at Torquay, a match was held in a helium-filled balloon tethered outside the venue. This consisted of a contest between the strongest player resident in the counties of Devon and Cornwall, taking to a whole new level the traditional rivalry between the two counties.
International Masters Jack Rudd (Bideford) and Andrew Greet (St. Austell) battled it out for supremacy, and the game finished in a close win for the Cornish champion. Strangely, the first ever land-based match between the neighbours in 1902 also finished in a Cornish win, so it was a case of history repeating itself.
That looks like a blast

It doesn't matter the game of chess takes to the skies, sounds dramatic to me.

well I wouldn't consider this dramatic at all. these guys are focused on the chess game and not looking out and seeing exactly how far they are up there for.. no tension! or distraction!
