The Western society has a sex-dominated culture. Everything from adverts to films to books to posters to even cartoons has sexual connotations. It is an unfortunate fact. Forcing teens to take these pledges is wrong. But it is definitely right to help them understand that sex is something that they should not worry about now. Educate them about sex and tell them how precious it is and the consequences if its done without commitment and responsibility (which is what marriage is all about)

@bluepuppy104 or she could have used protection when she was having sex, and then she wouldnt have had to go through that. having children can be put off until a woman thinks she is ready, in the mean time, unwanted pregnancy can be easily prevented, which leads to less people having messed up lives.
