Now the frost has gone, it's time to plant your Kohlrabi.

This was recorded on a really windy day, so I hope you can hear it!

  • I tried to grow my own food for the first time in my life, this year.

But somebody has eaten all the leaves of my zucchini, tomato, spinach, melon, most of my corn plants down to the nub.

I suspect wild rabbits, but I have no direct evidence: no smoking bun. Only circumstantial evidence. Wild rabbits are common around my community.

  • @mphello If it is Rabbits, then the only way to protect your crops is by growing everything in cages. Make sure you bury the wire at least 6 inches in the soil though, as they can burrow a long way. Or you could watch over them day and night and capture them, nice in a stew. Are there any Rabbits droppings about? If there are then it's them for sure.

  • eeveryime i hear the melodie at the beginning i fall a sleep. And after that i'mdancing like a wild kolraby.TELL ME WHATS THE NAME OF THAT SONG!!ITS AWESOME!I NEED TO HAVE IT!AAAAAAAH!

  • @Fannschecki0001 My husband made it up for me. It doesn't have a name. I'll let him know you like it though.

  • Beware leaf beetles... i sow some radish seeds near my Kohl Rabi to lure them away

  • @TheSpartacat Will do, thanks for the advice. They're growing very well so far. Looking lovely and odd at the same time.

  • @clairesallotment Haven't seen any droppings. Good point. Sorry - I've not had a smoking paw, so to speak.

However, my best friend spotted one near my garden one time - very bold. The rabbit didn't run away from her, she claimed.

I still want to figure out how to biotech synthesize meat in a laboratory without killing a mammal or bird each time before I absolutely HAVE to kill one.

Farmers = the original nanotechnologists and bioengineers.

  • Woha?Your man made it up?Bääm!He's very talented!

I wish he was my husband! :C

    JustKIDDING! XDDDDDD

  • @Billybunter32 Peel, then you can roast, boil, microwave, fry. Can even be eaten raw. When I first cook it I'll put instructions on the blog.
