A video of me demonstrating varying levels of rotational speeds from different wheels. Pardon me for the poor recording. Each wheel started off with the valve cap in the 9 o'clock position. If a wheel's bearings are smooth enough and the wheel is in true, then the wheel should spin back into position with the valve cap at 12 o' clock. This point is the wheel's balance point. The example is not perfect but you can get an idea of what's going on.
Wheels displayed:
Shimano WH-R500, Conti Ultra Sport
Velocity Deep V w/ Suzue Pro Max NJS, Gran Compe SS
Velocity B43 w/ All-City hub, Conti Gatorskin

Excellent Demo!
The Shimano WH-R550 is too easy to overtighten. The bearing has a 'step-function-feel'!
