Look pal, we both know that if Portland floated off into the pacific today, the rest of America would neither notice or care, right? That it is your hometown is not relevant to the fact that Portland is a muddy small town that is not in the same conversation with all of the bigger more important cities right?

Portland is my hometown and I great city. with a great history....i am assaying downtown potrtland has been yuppified...by east coasters and Californians...go to hell.

I assume you are trying to be funny? To compare Manhatten in any way, shape, or form to a dusty, backwater like portland, particularly in a negative way, must be a joke?

Manhatten is one of the most diverse, energetic, cultural & worldly cities in the world, with a long lists of American greats in art, politics, sport & cuisine. Compared to an unimportant hamlet with zero culture, diversity, or reason to even visit. compare yourselves to cheyenne, fargo or topeka, but not an important city!

Yes, of course; however, his "please don't stay." lines have been the one's which I've most often seen repeated—I wonder if you have some idea of how and where that could be had, . . .

The most outstanding thing here, is that, McCall's most famous line: "It's a great place to visit, but for heaven's sake, please don't stay.", is not included; and, you've heard that played on OPB, or seen it in print—haven't you?
