you can see the exact pricing on their website. but they are a very well known brand across Europe , and it is something around 700 dollars.
as for kindle , i never touched a kindle one or two. but i can say that kindle is a closed system and it's mainly intended for use Amazon online services , whereas Digital Reader is more open source and truly customizable .
