"The Pick" was the defining play of the University of Oregon's 1994 Rose Bowl season. The Washington Huskies, then ranked #9 in the country, were driving for a go-ahead touchdown when 19-year-old redshirt freshman cornerback Kenny Wheaton intercepted a pass by Damon Huard and returned it 97 yards for a game-clinching touchdown. The Ducks won the game 31-20. The date was October 22, 1994.

"The Pick" appears on the DuckVision video screen before each home football game as part of a video highlight package that plays shortly before the Ducks race out on to the field, greeted by the thunderous cheers of the Autzen Stadium faithful. The video footage is accompanied by the famous call of the play by longtime Oregon radio play-by-play voice Jerry Allen.

  • @Tc4oregon yea the entire pac 10 was all along the concrete sides. used to be able to walk right around the field, back in the day. all different now.

  • @Tc4oregon they had signs for all the teams in the conference, which is very common in high schools today
